You'll need to add the DSDB target under My Computer as shown in the Creating an FPGA Target VI section of this guide - http://www.ni.com/tutorial/54100/en/. Also, ensure you have the LabVIEW FPGA module installed.

Yes I was following that tutorial but unfortunately Digital Systems Development Board is not there for me to select Smiley Embarassed and I've alrealy installed DSDB for 2019 and FPGA module 2019 for LabVIEW 2019

Hi, same here for 2019! Is there any solution in the meantime?

Drivers for LabVIEW 2015 and 2018 works for me.

I was able to reproduce this behavior and find a workaround this morning. There seems to be something odd (missing dependencies?) with installing the DSDB driver after having the FPGA module already installed on a PC. Try out the steps below and let me know if they work for you:

  1. Uninstall the FPGA Module and the DSDB driver and reboot.
  2. Install the DSDB driver and reboot.
  3. Try to add a DSDB target under My Computer in a LabVIEW project.

Hi,

I tried this and this will not work. Problem: The driver installation program is terminated because the FPGA module is not installed...

When did you see that error? On installation or uninstallation? Do you have the 32-bit FPGA module installed already?

In some cases like this one, a post-installation step isn't performed which adds the DSDB to LabVIEW as a programmable FPGA target. Certain previously installed software can prevent this step from running. You can run the step after installing the 2019 DSDB driver by running the lvfpga_make_resource_cache.exe in the following directory: <LabVIEW 2019 install location>\Targets\NI\FPGA\bin\lvfpga_make_resource_cache.exe.

Hi, as I wrote, the driver INSTALLER is terminated because the FPGA module is not installed.

Now, I installed:

(1) FPGA Module again

(2) DSDB Driver again

--> The DSDB is not found.

(3) Executing lvfpga_make_resource_cache.exe

--> The DSDB becomes found, my test project is compiled, everythink ok!!!

Many thanks for the help!

You are an NI stuff member? It would certainly be of general interest if the NI employee responsible were to learn about this issue and this workaround.

Have a nice day!

Hi Thomas,

Glad to hear that worked. I do work at NI as an engineer. I have filed a bug (#195107) on this issue, which you can reference in the readme for upcoming releases to see when it is fixed.
