Hello! Our roboRio is currently stuck in unrecoverable error mode. We discovered this as we tried to format it using the 2023 roboRio Imaging Tool. The formatting fails repeatedly, and the status light begins to continuously blink red. It is unable to enter safety mode; it just stays in unrecoverable error mode, as indicated by the status light. Upon trying to enter safety mode, even before failing to format, it will enter unrecoverable error mode as the status light blinks continuously red. We have tried an exhaustive list of fixes to no avail. Initially, we worked with launching the formatting tool in admin mode, turning off firewalls on the computer, and reinstalling the tools. After that all failed, we tried to follow the instructions detailed in FRC roboRio Status LED Constantly Flashing. We used multiple different sizes of USB to load the recovery file, used SD and microSDs adapted to USB, and tried many times all according to the above link. No matter how we tried to load the attached recovery file to the roboRIO, it simply entered unrecoverable error mode, as indicated by a continuous red flashing status LED, and refused to boot properly. We are getting pretty desperate as we do not have a back up roboRIO. We would appreciate any help you could possibly provide us.
