So, I'm attempting to connect to my College's WIFI. First, I type 172.22.11.2 into my Internet browser, then I go to network configuration. I then find the WIFI for my school. I type in my credentials and it tells me that the credentials are incorrect. I have accomplished connecting wireless though my Internet, service providers, router but not though the school. I have talked to IT at the school and they don't see a reason for it not connecting. As for as I know, I'm the first to try this at my College. I apologize if i left out any critical data.
Does this have to do with a particular cert?
Is the myRIO compatible with this Internet type?

If you can't connect myrio to your school network. There is another effective approach is through the same network options from the browser, choose create a network. Detatiled steps are here:

In this case my rio will act as access point. Then you need to connect your laptop to this created network. Obviously, they will be in the same network in this case!

Do you have any idea the distance the two can be seperated using the myRIO as the access point? I'm making a autonomous mapping robot. It will need some range.
Thanks,

The range should be the same for using the myRIO as an access point as it is normally. The specifications list the outdoor, line-of-sight range as 150 meters. Obviously, if you have any obstacles between the devices such as furniture, walls, or other electronics, the range may be much smaller.
