I have two questions regarding the waveform editor (arbitrary waveform generator) that comes with Elvis 2:
1) are there any tutorials on the editor? I can't seem to get it to work properly. I can load sine, triangle etc waveforms but the interface to the editor is extremely awkward at best. Maybe there's some simple concept I'm not getting...
2) I have a very specific waveform I want to generate. So I'd like to edit a .CSV file or something in Excel and put in a format that tthe Elvis AFG will recognize. Is this possible? And I tried to open a .wdt file but it's not a text file. Why did NI decide to do it this way?
Thanks
James

Hi James,
As far as tutorials and help for the waveform editor, ther's a fairly comprehensive tutorial for using the editor with myDAQ here and a help file for the NI Analog Waveform Editor here. I was able to find another forum post about creating custom waveforms with the analog waveform editor here. Hopefully these will help!
