What kind of myRIO do you have? What version of the RIO driver are you using? I also found this Knowledge Base article that talks about his specific error you are seeing. It seems to hint that your firewall may be at fault in this scenario as the myRIO uses Ethernet over USB to install software.

Please try and disable your firewall to see if that resolves the issue.

Resurrecting this thread since it was flagged to me concerned about the suggestion to disable the firewall.
In the past, I have had to disable firewalls to get two computers to talk to each other. I have not needed to do that for a long time now (since Windows XP). I have not needed to do anything to a firewall to talk to a myRIO, even with the corporate overkill firewalls.
The only place I would consider disabling a firewall would be on a computer on a small, private network with no possible connection to the outside world. I am literally talking a test rack with only instruments on a network and not even connecting up to a company/home network.
