I installed NI-CAN 2.6.3 (MAX 4.6.0f1) on the Japanese version of WindowsXP (SP3), for use with my NI USB-8473/8472 modules. I have no control over the OS language, but I absolutely need to get MAX's UI to display in English, not Japanese. When I install NI-CAN on an English edition of WinXP, the MAX UI displays nicely in English. This proves that MAX's UI is tied to the OS language. But I need a workaround for that so I can get MAX to display all the UI text in English, even if the version of WindowsXP is Japanese.
How can I accomplish this?
Thank you.

Hi JDW1,
If you go to Control Panel » Regional and Language Options you will get three tabs. In Regional Options change the first option to English (United States). In the Languages tab, select details and change the default input language to English (United States). In the advanced tab select English (United States) for non-Unicode programs. After changing all three of these features you should be able to see MAX in English.
