Design for an equipment controller & data collector is underway at Curtis Instruments. We are looking for an architect in the short term and a software engineer for long term, both preferably with Actor Framework experience (LVOOP at a minimum). We are interfacing a C# project, so text-based experience is desired as well.
Our Curtis Instruments design center in Livermore, California is near the San Francisco Bay Area. We make motor speed controllers for electric vehicles and are upgrading our validation & verification lab. This project is an engineering tool that interfaces a test station to send commands and save data from a host of devices connected over various communications protocols. The environment is casual but productive, peers are supportive and fun, facilities are clean and current, and industry is exciting and thriving.
Preference given to those with knowledge of: - actor framework, producer/consumer, publisher/subscriber, and plugin architectures - CANopen, Modbus TCP and SCPI protocols - C#, .NET languages
