Search for and Read specific tag in DICOM header?

Hi -

I wanted to know if there is a way to search and retrieve a specific tag in a DICOM header file using the Biomedical Toolkit 2012.  Currently, the read Image Express VI returns some minimal information in the header.

I also want to know if there is a way to just use the match pattern function after retrieving the character or binary string that represents the entire dicom file.

For example, say that I need to retrieve '0018,1000  Device Serial Number', it is not clear to me how this can be easily done in straight LabVIEW.

Although I write translators when I am given reasonable information for the format specification, I am not having much luck at the moment clearly getting access to all of the tags for the DICOM header.

Thanks,

Don

Hi Don,

In Biomedical Toolkit 2012, we don't provide flexibity to read tags easily. We may add it in our next release. Do you want to be our beta customer? If we add it in 2013 release, you could have a try first. A preview dialog for loading tags:

Thanks!
