Monthly Bugs, January 2011

Continued from the December 2010 bugs list

Another years worth of bugs have been discovered, but my suspicions are that there are a few more bugs out there. However, tonight we celebrate the old and new year and won't worry about bugs.

Soon we can only look back at fading memories of the year 2010 via a shift register...

It was a good years for LabVIEW, and 2011 will be even better!

One of the highlights was LabVIEW 2010 with a brand spanking new compiler and other great features!

I met so many great people at NI Week, let's meet again in August 2011! 😄

Here are the important new years resolutions:

  • Each post here should only contain a brief description of a bug, together with a link to the thread where it is being discussed.
  • One post/bug!
  • One bug/post!
  • No discussion of bugs. All discussions of a bug must take place in the original linked thread.

The "Swap word" function accepts SGL data, but returns an output that is identical to the input. This is unexpected and confusing since the operation is only defined for integers.

I would expect a broken input wire instead.

See also this discussion for details.

It seems that certain unknown modifications can make a chart use very high CPU in edit mode.

This is the end of January bugs. I guess the snow storms kept them low key. 😄

Let's continue in the February 2011 bug thread.....
