I thought it was because your user name says you're stuck. Just like the guy in the box.

I'm stuck in an endless for loop.

You just need to change the border of the icon to look like a for loop (and don't think that's a small change. NI actually got a patent for that 😉 ).
Also, this naturally reminds me of Rob Brydon's small man in a box voice:

Well since Paul has changed his colors (pun intended) it is a good time to bump this thread.
Besides I just mistook a cheat for a dinosaur here and for those that are not up on reality virtual reality, we need a little help.

He is not "a cheat". He is "The Cheat". He is very particular.
I was highly addicted to homestarrunner.com in college. They haven't updated for a long time, but I figured I might was well keep the avatar. I still have my Kick The Cheat toy. You hit it and it makes the "meh" sound. My roommate and I had way to much fun with it. I am hoping to pull a Ben and have it in my picture when I get knighted in my old age (only 8,626 posts to go).

Nothing special but I thought I'd contribute.
Way back when in college I was signing up for several community forums for various discussions. I needed an avatar and the Simpsons were on so I did an image search on the simpsons. I didn't want too popular of a character so I ended up with Cletus the slack jawed yokel. Ever since then when I would sign up for a new forum I would find a new Simpsons character to be my avatar. When I signed up for Lava I had used up all of the charaters that were less popular so I went for Homer. For the longest time I didn't have an avatar on NI's forums, but when I did get one I thought it would be best if I used the same one, so that those at Lava would recognize me.

I think my original avatar was the blah baseball one from the default palette. There were no team logos available and I didn't want to upload a Flying Elvis or the Red "B"- wasn't important enough for me.
But after this post, I decided to upload an image afterall.

I chose this funny little character Garu as my avatar for a number of reasons.
Not only is the cartoon insane and hilarious, but Garu also reminded me of the "coding monkey ninja" meme.
Garu is a 12 year old ninja in training from the South Korean animated TV series Pucca.
He will immediately accept a quest if told it will bring him "great honour" (kudos?). Although he is capable of superhuman feats, Pucca (his girlfriend) regularly has to rescue him.
I thought it reflected the balance of altruism, humility and humour needed to participate in this forum. Never take yourself too seriously.

I extracted this little bit of animation to a gif because it reminded me of my style in the forums, jump in seemingly out of nowhere, answer a question or two, then disappear.
I will concede that I may have thought about this too much.
