But that could be I started watching a couple episodes of Mission Impossible on Netflix and now my son has watched dozens of them in the past couple weeks.
Strange how he also likes Twilight Zone, Lost In Space and a bunch of 40-50 year old shows.

It's amazing at how Hollywood is still fixated at making superheros (or futuristic heros) look like Roman Centurions. The red cape, metal-ish breastplate, helmet, body plating, etc.
You'd think that the future would bring more light-weight (or light-weight looking) protection, like a force field.

Indeed. Those ribbons they invented in the 40's were definitely way ahead of their time.
