Hello,
we are using the USB-6363-NI device to acquire voltage data and trigger a Prime 95B Photometrics camera. The software is programmed in MATLAB using the Data Acquisition Toolbox (unfortunately, we still use the old session interface). Our problem is that we see a delay between the Start-Trigger for the camera and the data acquisition via the analog input channels of the ni board.
The following picture shows a scope measurement. The white line indicates the start of the trigger for the camera. The red line shows the time when our recordings via the analog input channels start.
As we can see there must be a time delay between the trigger and the start of the measurements of the NI board. This leads to incomplete data acquisition in MATLAB.
The figure below shows the recording of two analog input channels. The lower subplot illustrates the Expose Out signal of the images. It can be seen that the signal of the first image starts on a high level, indicating that the camera is already exposing. However, we should see start at zero and a rise afterwards.
How can we synchronize the start of the data acquisition and the trigger signal given to the camera? And why is the delay introduced in the first place?
