Hello,
I'm pretty new to labview. I have the following problem:
I have a wind turbine which is spinning in a wind tunnel. I have an analog visual sensor attached to the shaft of the turbine which is measuring the RPM of the shaft. I believe I have built the appropriate VI using timing and measurment VI. (perhaps this is not the best way to do this.) and thus I was going to use "peak detection" but haven't completed it. I was going to use the built in positioning data acquisition but from what I understand this only works with digital signals.
The main problem:
I need to find the position of the shaft in degrees in real time. The shaft spins between 250 - 1000 RPM. How can I do this?
Attached is my VI.

Hi kramerfrog,
Can you provide details on how the algorithm of finding the position of shaft? I can't determine if you're looking for help with programming or creating an algorithm for finding the position of the shaft in degrees. Either way, a datasheet and more information on the sensor would help.
Regards,
