Downloading and loading map from OpenStreetMap

I am currently using DIAdem 2017 SP1 Professional.

For off-road data, I'm interested in a Map View that helps identify a location better than the OpenStreetMap "Standard" layer which is the default in DIAdem.

1)  I am using "OpenStreetMap 2" as the "Map Source".  Would it be possible to display the "Cycle Map" layer from OpenStreetMap rather than the "Standard" layer?  The "Cycle Map" layer shows elevation lines, which is helpful.  [Go to OpenStreetMap.org to see the difference]

2)  Is it possible to use a GeoTiff?  If so, how?

Thank you,

Andy Tarman

Hi Andy,

the layers of the DIAdem map display are currently hard coded in a HTML file.

The used technique (OpenLayers.org) should work with other servers as well.

It would be a nice feature to make the URL configurable. Maybe you can vote for it at the DIAdem Idea Exchange.

The internet gives a lot of tips how to display GeoTiff with OpenLayers. This could work with the cached tiles, but I have no experience with that.
