USB 3.0/PCIe Test

Status: New

I think it would be nice if NI could develop a digitizer to be able to perform USB 3.0 compliance tests, as well as potentially support PCIe tests as it's a pretty similar physical layer.  I'll just go ahead and buy the LeCroy or Agilent solution instead for $100k+.

Hi Millionman,

NI does have a digitizer capable of sampling at 12.5GS/s with either 3GHz of bandwidth (PXIe-5185) or 5GHz of bandwidth (PXIe-5186).  This digitizer will provide a waveform output that is natively accepted by the Jitter Analysis Toolkit for some typical USB or PCIe measurements (such as eye diagrams).  We have had customers combine the flexibility of these technologies for USB testing in the past.
I'd recommend contacting your local sales representative or creating a service request to explore the options.
