Synchronize USB-8452 with other devices e. g. by a continuous clock output

Hi,

in a measurement setup, the USB-8452 is configered in SPI stream mode with a clock frequency of 10 MHz. The setup also includes further devices with an oszillator, and I get a deviation in frequency of almost 1 Hz (mixed product).Unfortunately, this is not acceptabled and I have to improve the synchronisation.

Is there a specification for clock's frequency accuracy of the USB-8452?

Can I adjust the frequency of the USB-8452 to be synchon to the other devices?

A simple way would be, if the USB-8452 can output a continuous clock of 10 MHz on a DIO line to synchronize the other devices. Can it be possible?

Thanks,

Felix

I am afraid none of the options exists to synchronize 8452 with external clocks or slaves. USB 845x are primitive instrument compared to the PXI counterparts.

If you would need to do advanced synchronization, you would need to upgrade to advanced hardware like 6571 to implement the SPI/I2C protocol easily.
