Cannot Image RoboRio (V1)

I see many other people having similar problems and the response to "me too" is always start another thread. So here it is.

My team is unable to reimage a robo rio. I assume it is V1.

The imaging tool can see it -- it reports the 172.22.11.2 IP address and the correct MAC address according to the sticker on back of the device. However I cannot ping that IP or reach it from a browser.

The imaging tool times out and says "corrupt firmware" even when run as administrator.

Attempting to update the firmware advances 3 green status bars before an "required pointer parameter was NULL" error

Safe mode has similar behavior.

Please advise.

The next step depends on whether it is a v1 or a v2,

The v2 has our newer "ni" logo on it and says "2.0": https://www.andymark.com/products/ni-roborio-2?via=Z2lkOi8vYW5keW1hcmsvV29ya2FyZWE6OkNhdGFsb2c6OkNhd...

The v1 has our older "National Instruments" logo and doesn't list a version number: https://www.andymark.com/products/ni-roborio

If a V2, can you format and reimage the SD card?

If a V1, can you post back to confirm that and we'll go from there?

Noticing this thread went unanswered, apologies for that!

Have you walked through the steps suggested here FRC roboRIO Imaging or Firmware Update Failing? which were the results?

Cheers,
