Matrix extension

Hello,

I use PXIe 2532B with TB 2642B to create 16x32 MATRIX.

I know that NI provide ribbon cable to extand matrix to 16x64 (with a second 2532B and 2642).

In my case I would like to extand my matrix in 32x32, Is it possible if I connect column with custom ribbon cable? I didn't succeed to find any information about it.

Hi JP_V,

I believe we don't have any matrix modules with a higher row count than 16, so it would at minimum require two modules expanded together. Additionally, while column expansion (increasing the second number in the n x m channel counts) is pretty easy, row expansion requires wiring each row individually, so it's a little more annoying but absolutely doable. Off the top of my head, two of the PXIe-2532B modules would give you two 16x32 topologies which could be expanded to a 32x32 setup.

Maybe you could contact the sales department of your local branch to get more information.
