Meeting 15-06-2023

Dear DutLUG community,

I hereby announce the presentations for our next DutLUG meeting in June.

Please note that alle presentations will be in person, we will not be recording or live streaming and all presentations will be in English.

Stay healthy and see you all soon! 😊

1. (4x15 minutes of fame!) 4 rapid fire LabVIEW presentations 15 minutes each!

1. Yannic Risters - CTD Exam – The “New” Format

In 2020, the format for the Certified TestStand Developer (CTD) exam was changed from multiple choice to practical/performance-based.
In this presentation, I am going to give you an overview of the relatively new exam format and I am going to share my tips considering
preparations and strategies.

2. Jim de Graaf & Max Jans  Force Fusion

Force Fusion will provide a brief explanation of the LabVIEW code created for this year's robotics game in 15 minutes.
At the end, they will give a short demo.

3. Steffan Weijs – Programming modes on a cRIO

Besides FPGA- and Scan Engine Mode the cRIO-904x and 905x series support NI-DAQmx programming.
It combines the ease of use of NI-DAQmx and the low-level functionality of FPGA.
A short presentation on how to use NI-DAQmx on a cRIO.

4.  Mathijs Blokker – Getting started with MQTT in LabVIEW

There will be a brief explanation about the functionality and uses of MQTT (Message Queuing Telemetry Transport)
followed by a live demonstration of MQTT in LabVIEW.

2. Natan Biesmans - Getting started with G²CPU, the most complete GPU-computing library for LabVIEW

Through the G²CPU library you can program block diagrams similarly to what you are used to in LabVIEW.
A wide library ranging from Boolean and comparison logic, math to linear algebra is available at your fingertips.
You can choose the technology you need during runtime so you can distribute your applications to a wide variety of hardware platforms.
Even cooperation with other programming languages will be a breeze due to the versatile backend.

For more info, questions or example requests, please visit: https://www.g2cpu.com

(Due to time constraints during the previous session, we will continue expanding on this topic as people expressed a strong desire for more information.)
