Labview Installation

Is there a way to recover if the Labview update was installed before LabView was installed from the thumb drive (a prior version of LabView was installed on the computer)? The update was re-run after the thumb drive installation, but not tutorials appear on the start screen, and I don't know what else might be missing.

I think if you do a repair (from Windows Control Panel->Add Remove Programs-> National Instruments Software) on the components which start with NI FIRST Robotics then you should be able to fix the problems associated with the order of installation you have.
