New Win 7 64 install drive in laptop (also a Win 8 drive with another install visible)
DVD Option 2 "Only FRC Tools"
- first product of 4 installs to 100% then says there was an error (but doesn't say what), Do I want to install the next product.? - all products report an error
- at end reports all 4 products not installed (but everything appears to be visible in programs list)
Activation reports serial # on dvd cover invalid
email provides 20 digit activation code but activator rejects it
Is there a log file somewhere to tell me what the error was during the install. It does not appear to be a DVD read error as I also copied complete DVD to HD and tried there.
Have done probably a dozen of these installs before.
Suggestions ?
UPDATE - the serial # on the outside of the NI Labview for FRC blue and white envelop is apparently not the correct one to be used for activating (started with M77). Same for serial # on the certificate of ownership sheet in the envelop. Instead the one that worked is in tiny text at the bottom of the 4 x 4 yellow and white sheet (S14X86763). Time wasted: a number of hours.
Still have no idea if install is okay or nor in light of install error reported and all 4 products not installed reported.
