Yes, I saw that. For some reason, the "Windows >> Log >> System" didn't show up on my system. I did go to the microsoft knowledge base documents. It said to use the bootcfg utility to configure the boot up. My XP system doesn't have bootcfg. I did a complete system search and it wasn't there. I tried to edit the boot.ini directly to remove the PAE and it didn't work.
If I can't figure out how to turn it off, I may try to load Windows 7 on my Windows XP partition but I want to exhaust all other possibilities first.

Hey Joe,
It looks like you need to have the XP Recovery DVD to use bootcfg (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/291980). Let me know how that goes.
