Laura F - please delete the Idea exchange thread or merge?

"As an example: my Solution to improving coersion dots was improved and a supeior method proposed in another idea was linked in  the discussion thread.  I believe it would improve the exchange if there was a repository for threads such as these where they aren't part of the "Main-line" searches"

Again- I'm not suggesting deletion.  but a seperate catagory for ideas that sparked enough debate that alternate solutions were proposed and the thread is thus Obsolete-  It would cut down on the clutter and allow for more understanding of what the kudos on the thread mean.  Are we voting for the exact OP idea or some alteration proposed in the thread?

Read point #2 on my list of Idea Exchange improvements: "A lot of times, a decent-to-mediocre idea is presented, but the conversation leads to better ideas than the first idea". I wouldn't necessarily want to put a "Obsolete" tag on ideas that are "deprecated" due to better suggestions in the comments, because people would have a tendency to skip over the "Obsolete" tags and not read those good comments.
