Can't download instrument drivers from NI web site with Chrome

Try to download drivers today, find out all links not working in Chrome.

For example:

http://sine.ni.com/apps/utf8/niet_download_id.log_ids?p_profile_id=....&p_doc_id=6566BC3787B433D2E04...

Got:

404 Not Found

After delete all characters after .zip, the link works.

Thanks for the report @zou,

Can you tell me the search terms you used to get to the page that was broken?

Thanks,

Mark

Hi,

I saw similar problems with driver downloads from ni.com/IDNet: see my message in this thread.

@Mark:

The download page still shows "© 2014 National Instruments Corporation" - notice the year and the company name? In 2014 plain HTTP was ok, but 9 years later browsers don't like anything else than HTTPS anymore!

There is no (direct) feedback button found on this page! There only is "To send feedback please contact technical support" with a link to the generic support webpage…

Best regards,
GerdW

I had trouble with this just yesterday. Workaround: right-click on the download version button and copy link. Make a new tab and paste the link and enter. You'll see the file download on the Chrome Downloads indicator. The driver will download into your downloads folder.

I don't know why this worked for me. It might have something to do with some weird IT security sorcery but it worked for a few LabVIEW drivers I needed.

All the buttons uses http instead of https, so all of them not working when clicked.

Hi all,

We understand the issue here and are working on a plan to address it. As you can see, it is a very old system so patching it may not be the right path. As I know more I will route back here.

Thanks,

Mark
