When editing a long post any press on the delete button (<x]) deletes one character to the left of the insert point, but also immediately scrolls the web page all the way to the top. Unusable!
Was there an update to the forum?
(Seems to be ok when composing, I'll do a few more tests)

It is actually more unpredictable. Just clicking to move the insert point or typing a character will scroll the page to a random location. I made a video, will upload once I am on wifi.
It is possible that the post needs to be long and contain images. Not sure.

In particular, I was trying to edit this post. Here's a brief clip, but the behavior continues forever.

Hi altenbach,
Thanks for reporting this. We did have some updates on Tuesday and Thursday last week. Were you able to make any similar edits successfully earlier this week or did this just come up today?
We will look into this further and get the issue escalated. Am I correct in assuming you're only seeing this on your Android device?
Thanks,
Matt

Yes, on Android. I never had any problems in the past editing posts (except for this, which is solved by having patience :D), so this is new.
(Maybe there is something particular in that post (size, images, etc.) but I am not sure)

Hi Christian,
We were unable to reproduce the issue on an Android device. Are you seeing the same issue in other posts in the community or just the one previously linked?
Thanks,
Lili

I'll try to edit a few more posts later when I am on the bus to see if there is a pattern. Currently on the PC.
(It definitely happens reproducibly with the quoted post. I tried to edit it several times and it always acted the same weird way.)

It seems to happen mostly if the post contains images. I edited a few other posts that don't contain images and did not see the problem.
Here's another example (editing this post). All I do is "finger down" in the edit window. All scrolling is involuntary (except when I scroll to bring things back into view).

Thanks for the additional tests. Since it wasn't reproducible on other Android devices, it may be specific to your device or the version of Android you're on. Can you please provide that information?
Thanks,
Lili

Android 6.0.0, Moto X 2nd generation (XT1095)
I see very similar behavior in the two following chrome versions:
Chrome 60.0.3112.107 (released)
Chrome 61.0.3163.60 (beta)
If the post contains a quoting of a previous posts, I also see the following: If I try to start editing somewhere in my part of the post and put the finger down to place the insert point, invariably the cursor ends up in the quoted parts much higher up. (and the entire screen scrolls somewhere else as reported).
Maybe the presence of quoted text has something to do with it in general?
