Another lovely maintenance window announcement

"From 12:00 PM CST Friday, April 21 - 08:00 PM CST Friday, April 21, ni.com will undergo system upgrades that may result in temporary service interruption."

Yes, a timezone that DOES NOT EXIST!  You are not in Standard Time on Apr 21st , you are in Daylight Saving Time.   CDT not CST.

Hi J,

I have to add: after years of complaints NI (or their service partner) aren't able to provide correct and localized timestamps in the forum announcements! They even aren't capable of displaying UTC timestamps at the very minimum.

The German localization still uses the very same (rather meaningless) US time (written in English date format and grammar) inside the correctly translated sentences…

Edit:

See this post from last year: the same problem of bad translation and the same problem of "mixing" timezones…

Best regards,
GerdW

Based on the feedback provided regarding the time zone on maintenance window announcements, we were able to talk to the team in charge and they added UTC for the latest announcement that was posted.

Hi Community Team,

I noticed and appreciated that change - even when it took years to implement a simple timestamp formatting "readable all around the world"!

Now you just need to fix mixing of regional languages with English text in the announcement banners… 🙂

Best regards,
GerdW
