Hi,
I just visited this thread which was posted on 01-10-2010 03:10 PM, i.e. October.
It was kind of a surprise to see that the user who had posted this message was said to have last visited the forum on 01-07-2010 02:55 PM, i.e. 3 months before posting the thread... A miracle? I suspect that something with the international date settings might be wrong at Lithium...
Or did NI find a possibility to travel in time? Somehow I missed this announcement

I have noticed caching issues in terms of both user metrics and tagging. Check that same user's profile now... does it look right?

Jack,
For your sake I have checked again - but it did not and should not make a difference: the last contribution to this thread is from 8th October...

OK, I can corroborate there's something fishy that user's last visited date. Enough time has elapsed that typically avoids caching latency.

If you look at the format of the posting you will see the "greater than"s that come from with a list server. I believe that some people read and reply to posts using that method and don't have to actually log-into the NI site.

Ben,
Are you saying it's possibly to post to the forum without being logged in? This sounds even more surprising than the funny date...

There is an old newsgroup interface that some users occasionally use to post to the forums (also where a lot of spam comes from). This user has logged into the web interface but for those most recent interactions, he used a news reader to post.

Thank you, Ben and Laura, on the info about the possibility of using a newsreader - still the date displayed in this forum is wrong by at least three months ...
