FWIW - At least one of my posting has gone missing. This posting contained slides and additional information related to a recent Rocket City LabVIEW User Group meeting presentation. The URL for the posting is: https://decibel.ni.com/content/docs/DOC-49288.
How is it that contributions like this that require a fair amount of volunteer time and effort can just disappear?
I hope all the content and at least some of the functionality of the old Community can be restored soon.

Lilli, does enabling Block Edits on documents mean people can still leave comments? I want to ensure only I can edit the content of the document, but comments must be allowed.
Hi Thoric,
Enabling Block Edits will prevent people from editing the document itself, but not prevent them from making comments. So, no worries here.

Hi John,
The good news is that document (and the group it is a part of) are present here: http://forums.ni.com/t5/Rocket-City-LabVIEW/Use-of-VeriStand-for-Rocket-Motor-Testing-pdf/gpm-p/3539...
We will need to look into why you cannot access it. What do you see when you navigate to that link?
Thanks,
Matt

Matt, below is a screenshot of what I see when I navigate to the URL that you just provided.
PS - I appreciate you working on Thanksgiving Day to reseach this issue.

Yesterday I was unable to post a document to the UI interest Group. It kept saying there was bad html or to try back later. In the end I posted to the forums. This seemed to be happening to other users with attachments but I was unable to remove my attachments and gave up in the end.

I am in the (long! ) process of locating all the examples I posted that are now missing in my user profile, but at least one of them apparently was lost. it was an example program on Modbus RTU in CVI that used to be found at the following URL: http://decibel.ni.com/content/docs/DOC-15734
BTW, if a search of documents published by author was available all this work would not be necessary...

As mentioned earlier, personal documents were not migrated which is why those links are not accessible. If the author of the document makes the request, we will be providing copies to the author.
Also, the documents within the groups are not accessible unless you are a member of the group. This is an issue we're working through, as mentioned in the Known Issues list.
As for the Community Hub, that particular group existed as a way to provide help documents or to ask questions on using the NI User Group Community. As the NI User Group Community no longer exists, the content within no longer needs to be publicly accessible.

It appears that you are not actually a member of the group that the topic exists within which is why you see that error. Right now, there is an issue which requires you to join a group in order to see the content in it -- even if the group is open. See Known Issues list.

I was unable to reproduce this issue using the same content and attachments that you were using. Can you let us know if you see this error again when creating a new document?

The link you provided is to a personal document which was not migrated. We can provide you with a copy.
Also, as we mentioned earlier in the topic, we are still investigating getting a user's documents added to their profile as well as searching for documents by user. See Known Issues list.

I am afraid that I am going to be "non constructive and unprofessional" again as your manager suggested I was in a private communication, but let me explain where I am coming from.
The links I have provided above are bookmarks of discussions or documents I was following on the decibel server (pre-migration server). I have bookmarked them because you told me that I would then be able to get back to them after the migration:
@LiliMcDonald wrote:You can create web browser bookmarks or save the URLs locally now for the content that you care about. The redirects will kick-in after the 14th. You can then bookmark or subscribe again.
Therefore I don't understand how anything of what you are saying about each of these individual dead links is helpful to me:
"personal document of user XXX": so what? This document MUST have been public for me to bookmark it. I mentioned that at least one of my documents, which I had made public, is not accessible to me. I suspect the migration mis-identified public documents as "private" and those are not lost in nomansland. Ungood.
"does exist but you must be a member of the group to see it": OK, I may not have been a group member at the time, since this was not necessary. Now that it is (where were we forwarned of this policy change?), how am I supposed to know which group it belongs to so I may hope to get access to it again?
"this topic was archived as it was a part of the old Community Hub which is no longer relevant to the new community": I don't even understand what that means. That NI decides of what is important for its users, essentially?
I am not certain why your team is taking comments from users personally. I am not taking the personal loss of information incurred in the migration as directed against me after all... I am simply stating the obvious, which is that this migration did clearly not have the interest of users first (who are elsewhere lauded as invaluably contributing countless hours to supporting and making the community vibrant), was not well advertised, and its consequences not sufficiently anticipated. It's not sugar-coated or mellifluously expressed, but that's about all you can arguably complain about.

Lili, I would be glad if you can provide me the document I was referring to. It was not my intention to have it precluded to other users: I published it as a contribution to all who may be interested to but since it was one of my first contributions I may have set it the wrong way. If you provide it to me I can post it again.
