Ha-Ha Ben !
I was getting anxious ! No reaction ? Where as he gone again ?
Just in case, I have added one more FIVE-star to your score.

I love your idea of "poor performance". As N°2, you should avoid to stress other contributors. Look at what you have done to poor JLV 😉 😄

Hi all,

Thank you.

I thought I should say something and that was the only words that came to mind.

I am NOT a word-smith!

I intended to comment a length re:CC top post but here is the short version.

RE: PID
This seems to imply that answer can "go bad" with time.

Would I be able to tweak my coefficients? Talk about an "unstable system". With wrong PID values I could go from a 150 star rating one day to a -150 star rating the next day.

Should we be rated on how many stars we give out?

RE:The list
You are missing some of the lower count contributors. Michael Munroe comes to mind. His rating has to be up there with the best.

Altenbach is approaching the 1K mark! This has traditionally been a time of recognition.

I just made a nice discovery : the veteran status is obtained as soon as you cross the 250 loggin barrier. I'm a 323 !
I like very much the idea of being a veteran : that fits well with my physical status !

Ben,
remember that a well tuned PID should give a system the ability to reach equilibrium quickly and without oscillations.

Congratulations CC!

You deserve to be the first non-NI 323.

I hope to join you in the veteran ranks in the next week or two.

Ben always told me the look at how many times a proven veteran of the developer zone (before vet status was given or as Ben would say "Back in the Old Days!!") chimed in on a thread that you started to answer. That was the true test to your answers. If no one posted an answer telling you that you have no idea what you are talking you did a pretty good job. Ben besides your high level of expertise in LV and the sheer amount of postings you have, I really haven't seen too many people chime in telling you that you have no idea what you are talking about. 🙂 So in no way would I ever consider you a marginal performer!!! 🙂

P.S. Thanks CC for drawing the appropriate distinctions and congrats on your vet status.

Congratulations guys for your darker shades of "gold"..

😄

(Where's that beer icon??)

It didn't matter what title or shades of gold anyone has.
I'm sure most people know who the veterans are..
You guys are obviously veterans... you're in most answers posted..

As for CC... you're up there, too! 250 logins already?? -wow-

And our buddy Ray Farmer. Very helpful for good ole TestStand.. Thanks Ray!!

I'm glad we have a thread like this. It allows us to get to know one another. "Shoot da breeze"

Thank you everybody!! And NI for providing this forum!!
