I just noticed today, not sure when it improved, but the animations for the user icons are now executing properly.  Back when this thread started, the gif animation wasn't being timed correctly and it was acting like there were 4 seconds between each frame.  I had tried a couple times over the past year to fix it, and regenerate the GIF file, but never had any success and pretty much gave up on it.  Today, I noticed the sparkle was happening correctly.

I don't know what changed, or when it changed, but it made me happy this morning.

Jeff's was always the most noticeable to me.  As it would flash the ball would stop spinning.  This just makes me want to come up with some animated homer.  Any talented photoshopers out there?  Maybe the brain growing and shrinking would be easy enough.
