Has anyone figured out any milestones for the furthest right metric?

As far as I know, it corresponds to 'message views'.

I have over 57,000 messages read, but I guess I need a few more for the darkest bar

I think I got the darkest bar after I read 100k messages. I'm currently at 145k messages read. I have a personal rule that I don't go to a page without reading (or at least skimming) all the posts. Call it a conscience, call it anal retentive, but at least it makes for some good reading on both the technical and human aspects of everyone's LabVIEW journey.
