Not sure what I did, but I now permanently get

Usually it takes a few refreshes to recover.

This time it doesn't.

It could be something cookie related? In a private window I do get my expected notifications.

But refreshing, closing the page, restarting edge, it doesn't help/

This issue pops its head up very intermittently.  It usually clears itself with a refresh or two.

Not this time.

It doesn't shows notifications now (it worked once or twice in the part week after dozens of refreshes).

In a private window I get notifications apparently as usual (a rare miss now and then).

I deleted cookies for forums.ni.com, knowledge.ni.com (under ni.com) and a few others.

That worked (after re-logging in), for now...

Along the same lines, I have not been getting notifications for posts in the LabVIEW Idea Exchange.  I am getting the kudos notification.

I got a notification for Tim's reply, but not Mark's.  EDIT: Skip that. Got both.

I usually don't get only 3 notifications in a week. More like 50.

But it's already confirmed that something is wrong...
