Problem Behavior: Connected a load cell to a PXIe-4339 and clicked Read TEDS in FlexLogger. Most channel parameters are set correctly, including scaling and excitation voltage (10V in this case). However, the Hardware Range is set to the maximum option (-1/1 V/V) when the max electrical output of the transducer is only -4/4 mV/V.
What I Expected: l expected that FlexLogger would have set the more appropriate Hardware Range option of -10/10 mV/V.
Why This Is A Problem: Especially on Test Cells with a high channel count, relying on the user to go back through every channel and modify the hardware range defeats the purpose of TEDS. TEDS is intended to avoid user error by containing all relevant sensor parameters. The MinElecVal and MaxElecVal are specifically defined in the most of the IEEE 1541 TEDS templates and should be used by FlexLogger to set a more appropriate Hardware Range.
