Sending String Data to FlexLogger from Plugin

I'm currently attempting to write a FlexLogger plugin that sends state data (as a string) as well as waveform data. I've tried using channel parameters as a vehicle for passing string data, but this method is inherently flawed and doesn't work. Binary data is easy enough using digital waveforms, but state data consisting of multiple states doesn't seem possible.

Does anyone know of a way to pass string data through the plugin or link waveform data to a combo/enum control in the display screen?

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry for the late response...I happened to stumble on this request when searching for something else. We do have support for string channels that was added in FlexLogger 2023Q3. See this post for an example of how a string output from a plugin can be used on a screen:
