Ca't access pxi 5122 remotly

I wan't to access my pxi system remotly using remote device access.

On the server side there're daq devices pxi-6508 and pxi-5122 installed. After launching the server Remote Device Access Server, i managed to access to pxi-6508 from the client system, but the the problem is that pxi-5122 is not listed on the "Remote Configuration" device list. So, i can't see the scope card over the network, although it functions properly locally on the server machine.

Do you have any idea?

Hi Mursel,

Unfortunately, this document points out that Remote Device Access can only be used with products controlled by NI-DAQ.  Since the 5122 is controlled with NI-Scope and not NI-DAQ, RDA won't work with this device.  Among the modular instruments NI offers, the 5102 is the only device that supports RDA.

An alternative would be to write a program that runs on the remote device, and send data to your local device.  If you're using LabVIEW, this could be done using network-published shared variables.
