Getting started with PXIe-5170R

Hello,

We just received a PXIe-5170R digitizer we purchased, and we are trying to get it working but with no luck.

About our existing system, we have a PXIe-1062Q chassis with several cards; among them is a PXIe-5122 digitizer in slot 5. We're running Labview RT 15.0 on a PXIe-8135 controller. We are able to observe the PXIe-5122 in MAX from a separate windows computer over the network.

We removed the PXIe-5122 from the chassis and replaced it with the new PXIe-5170R digitizer. When we do this, the PXIe-5170R isn't detected. Through NI update, we have updated NI MAX to version 18 and also the drivers (e.g., SCOPE, FGEN, DAQmx) on the PXI controller to approximately version 18, whatever shows up as most current in NI update.

So I'm unsure why NI max is unable to detect the card. We also tried it in slot 4 (the system timing slot) with the same result.

The screenshot attached shows the result after we've removed the 5122 from slot 5 and replaced it with a 5170.

Additionally, we plugged the SCB-19 terminal block in, and checked the +3.3V output (pin 13), and no voltage output is seen on this pin, so it is not producing 3.3V out (don't know if this is expected).  There aren't any indicator lights on the front so not sure how to tell how alive the card is.

We've looked through the PXIe-5170 getting started guide, and it seems more suited to having Windows installed on the PXI controller.

Any suggestions for what we should try next?

The PXIe-5170 is supported on Windows, Linux and Linux Real Time (as of NI-SCOPE 20.7), but not on Phar Lap (the real time OS used with LabVIEW RT 15.0).

The PXIe-8135 controller that you are using does not support Linux Real Time.
