Telnet communication write works but read doesn't

Hello,

I'm pretty new to LabView and am trying to remotely control an older piece of equipment that only uses telnet. I've attached a simple vi of what I'm doing. I'm able to open a telnet connection, and write to my DUT, but I can't get any response to read. I've double checked, using putty, that my "writes" are being received. Anyone have any ideas? Am I missing something?

These blue subVIs are not stock. Are they from a toolkit?

What is the display style of the \n string constant? (normal, \-codes, etc.). (Sorry, cannot open your VI in LabVIEW 2020 to check)
