AGILENT HANDHELD U1732B LCR METER

Would like to be able to log the data from my handheld Agilent U1732B LCR meter but cannot find any drivers on the forum or NI drivers page.

Using the Agilent data logging  program for the meter determined the coms protocol and then running basic Labview serial vi got the following data:-

132520000231500312882
132520000233100302882?
132520000233100302882?
132520000230800322881?
132000000002124761120?
132000001002324341131?
132000000001626250916?
132000000002124761120?

Contacted Keysight (was Agilent) and asked if it would be possible to have a conversion table so I can work out what the data is, but they said the meter is only supported through their Vee software, so I guess that means no................

Has anyone done anything for this meter or one of those in the range?

Only supported through VEE? Odd.

If VEE is free to try, I would download and install and see what more I can find out about the protocol.

No idea if Vee is free now but when I used to use it commercially a few years ago it was similar to Labview and priced similar.

Looking at what was installed when I put the Agilent DAQ software on it loaded what seemed to be the equivalent of Labview runtime engine and then the actual file was an exe so guess that will not be accesable.

I wrote free to try. Just as LabVIEW is free to try for 45 days.

Ok but similar to a Labview exe not much use because you cannot gain access to the source code, unless I have missed something?

Hi,

Agilent or Keysight or whatever they're calling themselves at this moment used to make an app called 'IO Monitor'.

You can capture SCPI and Visa comms with. It's similar to NI Spy/IO Trace software.

Search for that. If you're lucky maybe they used Visa to talk to the LCR meter.
