Device reported an input protocol error during transfer

Solved!
Go to solution

While using “chr63600 Getting Started.vi” provided by Chroma

Error -1073807305 occurred at chr63600 Measure V_I_P.vi

Driver Status:  (Hex 0xBFFF0037) Device reported an input protocol error during transfer.

I'm connected to the Chroma 63610-80-20 via USB. With Measurement & Automation Explorer I can see the device is connected and working properly. I'm using NI LabVIEW 2010 SP1.

Has anyone encountered a similar problem and found a solution?

Thanks!

Hi TechDes,

Are you able to run a test panel on your device via Measurement and Automation Explorer? Do you receive an error when you do this? Were there any drivers you needed to download to be able to access this device? Please respond back with a bit more information and hopefully we can get you up and running soon!

 Hi Jackie,

Thank you for your response. Since posting this question I’ve been in contact with an Engineer at Chroma. The solution was to uninstall VISA 5 (and associated components) and install VISA 4.6.2. There is still some quirk with starting the VI, powering up the Chroma load, and plugging in the USB cable. But a few power cycles and plug and unplugs of the USB cable seems to clear the problem.

Thanks again for your reply,

Best regards,

Paul
