Instruments with same Ip address

Hi all,

I'm using Pl303-P Power supply for experiment. 

I control it by TCP/IP protocol with VISA VI (classic open,write,read,close).

For practical reasons, i'm using LAN/USB adaptators to communicate by LabVIEW.

In my experiment, i have to control 2 resitances with 2 units dedicated.

The metter is appear when i connect both units on USB ports. Only one is recognized and i think they have the same address IP. 

I wanted to know how can i assign two different address?

Read your instrument's manual and learn how to set its IP address.

The instruction manual you linked to tells you how to set the address of your instrument.  Look at starting on page 24.

Did you really use two LAN/USB adaptators to attach the two powersupplies ?

Then you have to configure both adaptators to  use different networks ( in Windows network setup) by using a right combination of IP address and network mask . And you also have to confgure your devices to use a matching IP-address /network mask for the used adaptator  ( See instruments manual).

Hi, 

I already test with the LXI browser to change IP address, but it didn't recognize my units. 

So my question is, do i have to change the Ip address of units or adaptators? 

i'm not so familiar with notions of IP and networks config in general. I tried to change something with the manage setup and device manger. I see both adaptors, but how can i chnage their networks properties ?

I found that finally they have two different address ip. But when i'm connecting both, no one is recognize ... i access to their web page config, but i don't see what to change ...

I already test this method without sucess ... Both unit connected at the same time aren't recognized by NiMAX.

Could you give us more information about your setup ? Which IP adresses and netmasks are used on the PC network interfaces ? A "ipconfig  /all" in a Windows cmd window should give you that information. And which adresses and netmasks are configured on your instruments ?
