The installer of the IVI driver for the TDS 210 Scope fails with Internal Error 2705.Directory

We are using LabWindows/CVI 5.5 with patch 1 and with VISA 2.5.2 on Windows 2000. When we try to install the downloaded IVI driver for the Tektronix TDS 210 Scope we get the message "Internal Error 2705.Directory"

Hi,

I tried the installer and got the same error. What I did is used the LabVIEW installer. Usually LabVIEW Instrument drivers use the same CVI code compiled in a dll. The labVIEW installer creates a directory under VXIpnp called tktds2x0, which contains the C source files of the instrument driver.

Thanks for the quick response. We don't have LabVIEW, but I manually created the directory under VXIpnp. The installer makes it a step further before the next error message appears: "Setup has detected a traditional, legacy IVI, or third party version of this driver installed on your system. Please uninstall the existing driver before proceeding with this installation."
