VISA Error

Hi,

I'm working on Labview 2011 with windows Vistax32.
While I ran the "Advanced Serial Write and Read.vi" from the NI Example Finder, I got the following error:

"Error -1073807202 occurred at Property Node (arg 1) inVISAConfigureSerialPort(Instr).vi->Advanced Serial Write and Read.vi

Possible reason(s):

LabVIEW:  (Hex 0xBFFF009E) VISA or a code library required by VISA could not be located or loaded.  This is usually due to a required driver not being installed on the system." (attached herewith)

I'f it's helps, If I'll places the "VISA Open" on the Block Diagram and add Constant to the VISA resource name (and run it) I getting the same error  (only I/O  and Refresh appears…)

Does anyone know where can I find this driver?  I really need this to work...

Thanks,

Idan

Just like the message says, you do not have NI-VISA installed.

Hi Idan,

I just wanted to follow up with you on this issue.This error an it has been discussed in various forum posts (post1, post2,etc). This error indicates that you don't have NI VISA installed or your installation is corrupt. Reintalling NI VISA usually fixes this issue,

Hi Athulks,

I would recommend navigating to the forum posts that the previous reply has posted. The solutions for the issue is mainly not having the correct NI VISA driver installed. You can find the driver you would need for your hardware here:
