How to tell what 'enet' devices are present using LabView??

All devices are listed with ‘DAQmx System. DevNames’ wether or not they are present in the system. 

I am using the DAQmx Reset and looking for an error to determine if a device is present or not, … this works, but waiting for the error time out can take several minutes.  ... see the attached jpg. There must be a better way?

Thank you for the reply.  I have tried this from the expample: 'show all hardware.vi'..       'isPresent' shows the 'enet 9213' as being present (-1) wether or not it is connected??
