Hi, Thank you Dennis,

perhab you could be my saver. I am trying to communicate a machine called U2000 Hitachi spectrophotometer  to a pc as a mean of store and collect data. the only port available in the machine is RS232C dp25. My link from pc is thru USB to serial adaptor. If I am using labview as a mean of programming software, what sort of the best solution that you can think off ?

What "best solution" are you talking about?

You have the software and you have the hardware. What more do you need?
