The scripting behind CD & Sim has not been updated to properly deal with Channels, so while the diagram may look okay it will not compile properly. Beyond the scripting issue, there is a more fundamental semantic issue: the Sim diagram is executing in virtual time while the rest of the diagram is executing in wall clock time. Figuring out how to properly bridge from one to the other is a challenging problem, particularly in the presence of some of the more esoteric solvers. Currently, this is an unstaffed issue, but if you have a compelling use case we would like to hear about it.
