Error -63101 in LTE Application Framework

NI Software
LabView Communications System Design Suite 1.1
LTE Application Framework 1.1
Windows 7 Enterprise

NI Hardware
USRP RIO 2943R
USRP RIO 2953R
Driver: NI-RIO 15.0

Problem Description

On Monday 29.2 I run the DL operation mode of the LTE Application Framework using the single device configuration (just one USRP RIO 2943, connected through a PCIe x4 module to a desktop Win7 computer) and I got the following error message:

I can not find a reasonable explanation for this since I am running the program directly "out of the box", the bitfile is pre-compiled from factory and I did not touch anything in the files. Furthermore, one month ago I was able to run it with no problem, using exactly the same device, cables and connectors. Here is a screenshot of the erroneous code:

As you can see, the .lvbitx file (pre-compiled from factory) for the DL operation mode is being deployed.

Troubleshooting process

First round of adjustments:
  • Update all the pending updates of Windows 7
  • Look for critical updates via NI Update Service (nothing was listed)
  • Look for optional updates via NI Update Service (I installed all the ones listed but "FlexRIO 15.0" which I felt useless)
  • Re-run the LabView Communications installer in case something needed to be reinstalled
After these, I tried to run the program again and still the error is popping up.

In order check if this is a problem of the LTE App framework, I run the FM demodulator tutorial for USRP and this one worked, so I am afraid that there is some issue in the LTE App framework that escapes my understanding.

Second round of adjustments:
  • I uninstalled every single software of NI and installed everything again.
  • I tried to compile the bitfile my myself but I got an error regarding the license I am using (I am still using the one for students provided to KTH). I am attaching the logfile that the compilation process outputs.
  • I have tried connecting the USRP RIO 2953R
  • I have updated to LabView Runtime 2015 f2
  • I have installed NI-VISA Runtime 15.0
  • I have installed the FPGA Interface C API Generator 15.0 as this post recommended (even when I think it is not applicable in my case) http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW/Error-63101-when-running-FPGA-Interface-C-API-Generator-in/td-p/2162...
  • I have updated my Window 7 with the latest updates available in the Windows Updates Center.

Nothing has worked so far.

Here you can find screenshots  of MAX and the NI License Manager in case they are also useful:

Does anyone have idea what could be wrong in here?

Thanks in advance,
Adrian

Hello Adrian,

It looks like you have done a lot of troubleshooting.

Thank you for taking the time out of your day to try all of those steps.

It appears that all of the images didn't embed correctly.

Can you please make a new post with the images attached?

Hello Thomas,

yeah, it looks like something went wrong when writing the post. I have posted it again here:

http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW-Communications-System/Error-63101-in-LTE-Application-Framework/td-p/...

This time I inserted the images correctly.

Regards,

Adrian
