Exciting Opportunity: Research Assistant in High-Speed AFM Control Systems at DTU
Are you passionate about cutting-edge instrumentation and nanoscale imaging? Join our team at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) to help revolutionize atomic force microscopy!
We're seeking a talented Research Assistant to further develop our open-source high-speed atomic force microscope (HS-AFM) controller. This innovative system transforms a low-cost AFM into a high-performance instrument capable of imaging nanoscale skin textures in just seconds.
What you'll do:
- Enhance LabVIEW control software for myRIO-based HS-AFM systems
- Optimize data acquisition and processing for faster imaging speeds
- Implement new scanning modes and measurement capabilities
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of researchers
Ideal candidate:
- BSc/MSc in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Strong LabVIEW programming skills
- Experience with FPGA-based systems (e.g. myRIO)
- Interest in instrumentation and microscopy
- EU citizenship (to avoid visa complications)
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to an open-source project that's making advanced AFM technology more accessible to researchers worldwide. Join us in pushing the boundaries of nanoscale imaging!
Location: DTU Lyngby Campus, Denmark
Duration: 1 year with possibility of extension
