National Instruments branded the The NI PXIe-6592R and NI PXIe-6591R as High Speed Serial boards. I call them 10 Gig boards. This is what we've been waiting for from NI! Until now we used the 1 Gigabit Prevas Mimas with FlexRIO for network based FPGA boards.
These new boards are key developments for using LabVIEW FPGA in Financial Applications. Four (4) and eight (8) 10 gigabit connectivity with 2 GB DDR3 RAM.
The next step will be to get NI to make the RIO drivers kernel mode so the boards can seem like network cards to your Linux or Windows OS.
