2009 build exe error

Solved!
Go to solution

I have 2009 f3 installed on an XP sp3 machine and I am trying to build an executable and get the error below.  I can find the error.llb and the vi in question.  I even opened it with no problems.

I have included the vi I am trying to turn into an exe, figured it might help.  The exe name is supposed to be "Hydrogen Dispensing Diagnostic".

Any ideas on how to fix this?

An error occurred while saving the following file:

C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 2009\vi.lib\Utility\error.llb\GetRTHostConnectedProp.vi

Invoke Node in AB_Source_VI.lvclass:Close_Reference.vi->AB_Build.lvclass:Copy_Files.vi->AB_Application.lvclass:Copy_Files.vi->AB_EXE.lvclass:Copy_Files.vi->AB_Build.lvclass:Build.vi->AB_Application.lvclass:Build.vi->AB_EXE.lvclass:Build.vi->AB_Build.lvclass:Build_from_Wizard.vi->AB_UI_Frmwk_Build.lvclass:Build.vi->AB_UI_FRAMEWORK.vi->AB_CreateNewWizard_Invoke_CORE.vi->EBUIP_CreateNewWizard_Invoke.vi->EBUIP_CreateNewWizard_Invoke.vi.ProxyCaller

Strange.  I did some more searching around and tried checking the "Use LabVIEW 8.x file layout" in the advanced build options and it did not have a problem.

I have no idea why it worked, but it did.

Bryan,

In LabVIEW 2009, the latest Application Builder file directory structure has been modified, as described in Knowledge Base 51BEJIDP linked below, in order to reflect a more secure supporting structure for executable applications.  If you have an executable that might have been built in LabVIEW 8.x that you're trying to include, that may be why you're getting this error.
