Hello,
How about Labview3D? Have you ever thought about 3D block diagram? Like in 3D TV. You have to wear 3D glasses on to see it correctly
And it would save some 2D space, right? I am not sure if this is a good idea for the Idea Exchange Forum 🙂

Try a search on LAVA. I think it was discussed there some time ago and it was mentioned that NI already holds some patents on this. But not sure about any of this.

Yup!
NI already has a patent on it. I posted (in that thread) some prototype images of what a diagram could look like in 3D and I think the general response was "OH NO!".

I could see a desire for a 3d fp more than the block diagram. There could be some really cool data visualization. Too bad there is already a 3d picture control, ni will have to add a control called REAL-3d picture control

So, is the 3d pic ctr a REAL 3D now? I mean can I just hook up my computer with a 3D TV, and be able to see those demos in 3D?
